How to Reset Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for Users

  • Updated

Overview

Gearbox Admin users can reset the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for other users within their organisation. This enhancement is available only for Admins to reset MFA for their own users.

MFA must be enabled by contacting support@gearbox.com.au. Once enabled, MFA will be active for every account within your Gearbox system.

You must have Admin permissions for Settings and Admin in Gearbox to reset MFA. While the ability to reset MFA is available, it is highly recommended to securely store recovery codes and back up your preferred MFA application to prevent future issues.

Guide to resetting MFA:

1. To reset MFA for a user, select the User Icon (1) in the top right-hand corner, then click Users (2).
