Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Overview

Gearbox allows you to enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on your Gearbox account using Microsoft, Google, or other authenticator apps for additional security.

If you have a preferred authenticator application or do not wish to use the Microsoft Authenticator app, please skip to Step 2.

Contact support@gearbox.com.au to enable MFA on your account.

When MFA is applied to a Gearbox account, it will apply to all users.

Install Microsoft Authenticator on Your Phone

Once Gearbox Support has confirmed that MFA has been enabled on your account, please follow the steps below.

Once the app is installed, open it to ensure you can add an account.

Connect Your Gearbox Account to Your Authenticator App

Once you have installed Microsoft Authenticator (or your preferred authenticator app), log into Gearbox in your browser.

  1. Open your browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari) and navigate to Gearbox Login. Sign in using your Gearbox account credentials.
  2. Scan the QR Code using your chosen authenticator app.

  1. Once the authenticator app has paired with Gearbox, you will be asked to save your recovery codes for future use. Please store these in a safe place.

The next time you log into Gearbox, you will be prompted to enter your authentication code.
