Cooltrax Integration

Overview

Gearbox integrates with Cooltrax via API every night to retrieve hour meter readings. These readings play a crucial role in Gearbox for calculating Services Due and tracking running costs per hour. Automatic readings sourced from telematics are preferred over manual entries due to their reduced susceptibility to user error. Furthermore, the API feed from Cooltrax ensures consistent and timely capture of readings.

You must have an active Cooltrax account with API Access and Gearbox administrative privileges to complete the below steps.

Please Note: We recommend setting up the trailer and the fridge motor as individual assets in Gearbox.

- Within Cooltrax, enter the trailer’s Fleet Number in the Asset Name field.

- Enter the fridge motor’s Fleet Number in the Fleet ID field.

Ensure the Fleet # format in Cooltrax matches the format in Gearbox. 

Integrating with Cooltrax

1. Click your User Icon (1), then click on Integrations (2).

2. Locate the Cooltrax Integration and select the Setup button (3).

 

 

3. Tick the following checkboxes:

• Integrate Cooltrax (4).

4. Input your Cooltrax API key into the API Key Field  (5).

5. Select Save and Continue.

6. Select the Connect Vehicles button (6).

7. Select the Get Readings Button (7) to obtain the latest readings and select Save and Close (8).

Gearbox will automatically attempt to add the new ID to the assets based on the information from Cooltrax. Gearbox will email a CSV file detailing the results of the connection.
