PACCAR Connect

Overview

Gearbox integrates with PACCAR Connect via API to retrieve odometer and hour-meter readings and automatically apply them to matching vehicles in Gearbox. These readings are used to calculate services due and support accurate maintenance scheduling.

Automatic readings from PACCAR Connect help reduce manual data entry and minimise the risk of user error by ensuring consistent and timely capture of readings.

You must have an active PACCAR Connect account with API access and Gearbox administrator privileges to complete the steps below.

Matching logic:

Vehicles are matched using the following fields:

• PACCAR VIN → Gearbox VIN
• PACCAR Registration → Gearbox Registration
• PACCAR Display → Gearbox Fleet Number

Integrating with PACCAR Connect

1. Click your (1) User icon, then select (2) Integrations.

2. Navigate to where PACCAR Connect integration is and press (3) Setup
3. Enable the (4) Integrate PACCAR option. Enter the (5) Client ID and (6) Client Secret provided by PACCAR, then click (7) Save and continue.
4. Select (8) Connect Vehicles to map PACCAR Connect vehicles to vehicles in Gearbox.
5. Select (9) Get Readings to run a manual fetch
6. Once the Integration is successfully set-up press (10) Save and close to go back to the Gearbox dashboard

Get current readings

Odometer and hour-meter readings sync automatically from PACCAR Connect into Gearbox overnight. Administrators can also trigger a manual refresh at any time by selecting Get Readings.
