Thermo King Integration

Overview

Gearbox integrates with Thermo King via API every night to retrieve hour meter readings. These readings are crucial in Gearbox for calculating services due and tracking running costs per hour. Automatic readings sourced from telematics are preferred over manual entries because they are less susceptible to user error. Additionally, the API feed from Thermo King ensures consistent and timely capture of readings.

You must have an active Thermo King account with API access and Gearbox administrative privileges to complete the steps below.

Please Note: Gearbox uses the Engine Number field to match assets in Thermo King using the reefer serial number. Ensure these are matching within both Gearbox and Thermo King for the integration to work.

Integrating with Thermo King

1. Click your User Icon (1), then click on Integrations (2).

2. Locate the Thermo King Integration and select the Setup button (3).

 

 

3. Tick the following checkboxes:

• Integrate Thermo King (4).

4. Input your Thermo King Username (5), Password (6) and External ID (7).

5. Select Save and Continue.

6. Select the Get Readings Button (8) to obtain the latest readings and select Save and Close (9).

Gearbox will automatically attempt to add the new ID to the assets based on the information from Thermo King. Gearbox will email a CSV file detailing the results of the connection.
